Spy arrested for threatening to share lady Colonel’s morphed pictures on social media New Delhi: In a sensational revelation, it has come to light that a suspected Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agent attempted to blackmail a lady Colonel of the Indian Army to extract sensitive information from her.
As per details with the police, the ISI agent identified as Mohammed Pervez had threatened the lady Colonel that her morphed obscene images would be shared on the social media if she failed to share classified Defence-related information.
The lady Colonel, notwithstanding the blackmail threat, complained to the police who nabbed the Pakistani spy from North Delhi’s Chandni Mahal on September 13. Three more spies are on their radar following interrogation of Pervez.
The police swung into action after the Colonel, who stays in Dwarka, filed a complaint. She told cops that she had been receiving calls from two unknown numbers and messages from a Facebook profile in the name of one Ikta Sharma.
The Colonel further stated in her complaint that the persons using the two numbers sent her on WhatsApp morphed obscene photos of her from August 8 to first week of September. Pictures were also sent to her from the Facebook ID of Ikta.
The persons who called from the two numbers told her that if she failed to interact with the caller, her “obscene” images and personal information would be shared on the social media. Police said when the Colonel blocked the two numbers, the accused sent the morphed obscene pictures to her’s daughter’s Facebook ID.
The case has now been transferred to the Delhi Police’s anti-terror unit for further investigation.
