PAKISTAN ISOLATED

Is Pakistan’s Isolation Complete ?

In an interview with ABC News, the US President was asked: “Why are we (America) going to allow people (from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan) to come into this country…”

To this, Trump answered, “We’re going to have extreme vetting in all cases. And I mean extreme. And we’re not letting people in if we think there’s even a little chance of some problem.” Extreme vetting bars entry for next 90 days.

“It’s gonna be very, very hard. I don’t want terror in this country,” he added.

All citizens of Pakistan will now face a humiliating rigorous visa vetting for entry in US, from one time close ally.  .

This humiliation becomes more intense as UAE has given “Thumbs Up” to US and defended Trump’s decision. UAE had also banned Pakistan but lifted the ban under later.

Earlier Kuwait has banned nationals from five countries, including Pakistan, from entering the Gulf country. The ban, imposed on nationals from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan, includes suspending all tourism, visit and trade visas as well as visas sponsored by spouses.

The ban was attributed to the “difficult security conditions in the five countries”, but Pakistan continues to deny these crucial developments.

Viewpoint

President Trump’s policy towards Pakistan has come as a major setback to Pakistan as US refused to accept its victim card. Only China has supported Pakistan on this issue in entire world.

Entry restrictions followed by cutting of aid definitely point towards precursor to Visa Ban in case Pakistan continues to follow its “good terrorist: bad terrorist” policy. India has long been saying this and now a country like US has come out in open supporting India’s stance. India’s efforts have now started showing results.

Will Pakistan mend its ways or continue to show defiance to growing world opinion.

Is Pakistan’s isolation complete or it wants to be like North Korea- shunned by all – backed by China only.
