Currently, the shooting for “Hai Tuje Salaam India” is happening at Tulip Garden. The movie is about young college students, who join politics and how they bring about a change in their society. Eijaz Khan, Ashutosh Rana and Smita Goudkar and other local artists are taking part in the movie. Tulip garden that has been open for visitors from April 1, is witnessing a large influx of tourists every day.
If the trend continues, then it is likely to bring more tourists, an upbeat local trader added. However, current security situation is not conducive for any tourist activity; lamented another tour operator.

Various Voices Lamenting Fall in Tourism nudge JKTDC to open Tulip Festival with great Fun Fare
After 2016 unrest and low tourist flow, a lot of efforts are being made to revive tourism in the Kashmir Valley this year. In a bid to revive tourism, the JKTDC has opened tulip garden festival for public. More than 60 varieties of tulips can be found at this festival that makes it an awe inspiring experience. A 15 day musical festival, organized by the State Cultural Academy, will also commence simultaneously. Handicrafts, Fast Food and Beverages stalls, have been arranged for the visitors by JKTDC, which hopes; fun and the beauty of the event will enchant and mesmerize every visitor.
Festival will be organised at various venues in the Srinagar City – Tulip Garden, Dachigam National Park, Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), Royal Springs Golf Course and Zabarwan Park.
Eminent Bollywood personalities, who have had a link with Kashmir and have contributed to tourism promotion will be felicitated at Tulip Garden on 12th April, where they will also interact with local media and tourism players.
In the Adventure segment, boat racing, kayaking etc will be on display at Dal Lake/Nigeen Lake on 13th April and on the same day, cultural evening and handicraft exhibition sha ll also be organized at SKICC.
